The question that I get the most is:
It is a good question. The reality is that being a pilot- and an aircraft commander- has helped to prepare me to be a planner. In Afghanistan, I get missions to airdrop equipment and supplies into forward operating bases. These bases are located in remote areas and are often cut off from any other supply routes due to the harsh weather and terrain in the area. When we get a mission, I create a complex plan to ensure mission success. I take into account all the challenges and possible conflicts along our route of flight and come up with contingency plans. I ensure that my crew understands the plan and the mission. Once in flight, the crew works together to execute the mission and coordinate in case anything in the plan changes. Our mission is very important to us. After all, who knows what is going to happen to the men on the ground if they don’t get the food, ammunition or equipment needed?
I treat your financial plan with the same care and attention. Your financial future is very important to you and I take that very serious. I will work with you to come up with a plan to accomplish your financial mission. I will also develop contingency plans in case you encounter any unexpected road blocks.”
